A Dunce's Cap. Humiliated public figures were often made to wear dunces caps as they were paraded through the streets in the Cultural Revolution. As the sight became commonplace, the dunces' caps had to be made larger to draw attention. Here a giant example is fastened to the head of the Heilongjiang Party secretary Ren Znongyi in September 1966.
